Apologies for the lack of pictures; I had not planned to write a review before I sat down to dinner. I changed my mind only after I started eating and really enjoyed myself. TL; DR: fantastic food and good service. 10/10 would recommend. I walked in to Bua Thai with a friend of mine for dinner ten minutes before the kitchen was due to close. Obviously, we didn't know the last part when we arrived, but the hostess informed us of this and also told us the restaurant was closing in 20 minutes. When I asked if we could still sit down to eat, she assured me we would be able to do so, then seated us. I'm very glad she did! I wound up ordering the Tod Mun Pla (spiced fish cakes with apices and herbs) for an appetizer (to share with my friend) and a rad na. At my server's suggestion, I got the Rad Na Seafood Combination. My friend ordered the vegetarian Pad Kee Mao. The food was fantastic! The fish cakes were served with a little saucer of fish sauce with diced cucumbers and onions sprinkled with crushed peanuts. The sauce was really good. But the fish cakes were even better. My friend's mon makes really excellent (Vietnamese) fish cakes, the Tod Mun Pla wasn't quite the same, but it was similar. The eight slices of fish cakes were browned well on both sides, which added a hint of sweetness and savoriness. That mixed well with the herbs in the fish cakes, which provided a bit of grassy flavor (in a good way). Spooning some of the fish sauce, cucumbers, onions, and peanuts on the fish cakes created a truly enjoyable blend of flavors and textures. I cannot recommend the Tod Mun Pla enough! I'm a bit of an oddball; when I go to Thai restaurants, I prefer ordering pad see eww or (better yet) rad na. Once I saw rad na on the menu, I knew I was going to order it. The only question was what meat I'd have with it. At my server's suggestion, I ordered the Rad Na Seafood Combination. Wow! And I thought the Tod Mun Ola was good! The Rad Na blew me away! The gravy was sweet, but not too sweet, with just enough savoriness to give it a complex flavor. It covered my plate of rice noodles that had been topped generously with fish, squid, shrimp, imitation crab meat, mussels, and broccoli. Though the seafood had likely been cooked separately before it was added to the noodles, the dish tasted as if everything had been cooked together (that's the beauty of the gravy!). While I'm usually a talkative sort, even at dinner, I found myself oddly quiet. Instead of chatting, I was focused on the fantastic flavors and textures dancing across my taste buds. I was absolutely enthralled by my rad na. It was easily one of the best I've had, and I've had a lot of rad na in my life! I can't speak for my friend, but when I asked her how she enjoyed her Pad Kee Mao, she did say she really enjoyed it, as well. She loved how the rice noodles tasted and thinks they may have been freshly made. She wound up taking (at least) half of her entree home as she had liked the Tod Mun Pla, as well. In terms of the service, even though the restaurant was closing up for the night shortly, the staff did not skimp on service. They quickly refilled my water glass as it ran out. The appetizer (the Tod Mun Pla) was served within minutes of my returning from washing my hands after ordering. Best of all, the brought out our entrees just as soon as my friend and I finished the Tod Mun Pla. Additionally, during the course of our dinner, the servers also stopped by to ask us how our food was and to see if we needed anything. I'm not really an ambiance guy; I judge restaurants based first on food and secondly on service. But for those who care about ambiance, the restaurant was clean, well organized, and lightly decorated with Thai decor. In addition to my friend and me, there was a family also enjoying dinner. Like us, they kept their voices well within normal indoor limits so the restaurant was pleasantly quiet. All in all, Bua Thai is a nice place to enjoy dinner with friends, family, or even a date.

We eat here very regularly. The food is very good, and not overpriced. The ambiance is nice---simple lunch/dinner place, which also has a nice outdoor area. Take out is very convenient here too!

Delicious, nice atmosphere, and GREAT location! Parking may be tight depending when you go, but that's how it is everywhere in the Village. A little bit on the spendier side, but it's a great choice for date night or girls night out, or even a quick to-go for a solo dinner. Try the Pad Thai! Its my go-to.

Delicious food yummy tasty Thai food nice people here and the place clean and not far from Claremont

The food was delicious and affordable, the interior was lovely, and the service was excellent. I'm planning on returning the next time I'm craving Thai food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this Thai restaurant and I must say, it left quite an impression. Walking into the restaurant, I immediately noticed how clean and tidy everything was, which set a positive tone for the meal. While the service was decent, it was the food that truly stole the show. Every dish was bursting with flavor, showcasing the authenticity and skill of the chefs. From the aromatic curries to the perfectly balanced spring rolls, each bite was a delightful journey for the taste buds. Overall, my experience here was one to remember. The amazing flavors and inviting atmosphere have left me eager to return and explore more of their menu. If you're craving delicious and authentic Thai cuisine, look no further. I'll definitely be back for more!

A good deal and tasted healthy! Was recommend this place by a friend, and we tried the Panang curry with tofu and Pad see ew. The curry was delicious, though quite watery of a texture. The noddles were soft and delicious, and both dishes were flavorful but not too salty like many Thai dishes can be. Our waitress was kind, suggesting the larger pot of rice for the whole table (cheaper than 2 small bowls)! These dishes are very affordable, so would definitely suggest coming if you're nearby.

I haven't been here for awhile and I'm so glad I came back. My friend and I split their Crispy Duck, Drunken Fried Rice, Garlic Ribs, and Pork Panang. My favorite was the panang...it was creamy and the pork was tender. The crispy duck and spare ribs were kinda tough to eat, but the fried rice made up for it. The rice was spicy and savory too! The service was good and the restaurant is well decorated with a nice patio too. Would k come back? Yes because I want to try their Pad See Yu and Pad Thai!

I thought the food here was excellent. There's not a lot to say (Yelp wants a few paragraphs) but I have to say they do get things right here. Rice is proper, the coconut soup (imho) is fantastic. Spring rolls, duck appetizer & stuffed chicken wings were excellent. We had good service and other than being loud it was nice for sure. I would have liked more alcohol options but it wasn't any disappointment at all -we had the hot tea (jasmine and green) and felt it was good and they kept our water/hot water filled. I'll be back when in Pomona
